Waddup Legends! Peace is on you all and this is your best friend Khan, ready to grind todays gossip to little pieces.
Twitterville is going all crazy about Rabi Pirzada, the renowned singer and TV anchorperson. I personally never knew her before until yesterday when my news feed (https://www.pakistantoday.com.pk/2019/11/01/twitterati-condemn-leaking-of-rabi-pirzadas-personal-videos/) was filled with the news of her clothe-less videos (aka nudes) getting leaked which I think is quite common these days. I mean, we all been there, we all got our nudes leaked at some point and … yeah it’s all cool… it happens… Right?
Well, I personally don’t like this trend and so do all those who still have some shame, sanity and sagacity in them.
I don’t understand that why do we, as humans want to spread the bad things instead of good ones. You can see how it is so hard to get a decent informative moralistic video to go on top trends compared to some taboo and indecent video. Had this video been about Rabi giving money to poor, it would have been on lower rankings. But Nudes… Celeb Nudes… That always has the upper hand. People tend to focus that! They want to share that. They want to share their sick desperate mentality to the world. This makes a person want to question humanity in general.
Suspicions are many as to why this has happened. One can never really know the full picture. There will always be different angles to the story. There will be different speculations and one can never know the absolute truth about anything. What is really true, I can’t say anything about that. But let us talk about things about our society that surface due to these incidents.
The Jealous Ex
Some people say about a jealous “ex” who might have leaked the pics. I have known so many girls who have this issue. In this case please understand what I am about to say. So all the girls who are reading this, I need you to start with yourself. I say this because I believe that to bring changes; you need to start with yourself and see what you can do yourself before pointing fingers.
Think about this, why would you ever want to keep any weakness that can be manipulated against you? Every nude pic in your cell phone is like a bomb that can explode anytime. Why would you keep such private thing in the media knowing that it can be exposed anytime? Especially when you are a celeb, you need to be extra careful about what you post. If you don’t, you leave points which wrong people can make use of. Remember it as a rule of thumb “Never exchange nudes on social media”. This applies to all married and unmarried couples. Please just don’t do it!
Now that Rabi’s pics are out, she may come out and say that “I am strong” or something on those lines but believe me, in this society, it does affect you. There is no denial to that. So please stop blaming society and work on improving your own security. Accept this thing that there is no such thing as privacy on electronic media. No matter how much we fight for that, we will always be vulnerable as the electronic system is designed this way. Facebook, WhatsApp and all these apps are monitored by Extra Terrestrial Powers. It is better to cover your feet with shoes than to cover whole earth with carpet.
Coming over to our society, if you come across a picture, you always have a choice. Either you be a bigger person, overcome your desire, overcome the desperation that may be caused due to your low self-esteem and self-worth and delete the nude picture/ video, believing that the woman in the video maybe someone’s daughter or sister or mother and same can happen to yours God Forbid or you pass it on to satisfy your ego and enjoy that temporary rush of emotion of spreading something gossip worthy because you have nothing better to do in your life. People tend to choose latter. This video getting viral in the first place means that people have lost sense of purpose and moral values in their life. If you cannot contribute good, at least abstain from contributing negatively! Sometimes, I wish that same would happen to the loved ones of those who spread these videos but that would make me no different than them. Why should their loved ones suffer the consequences? Let these rotten eggs suffer themselves.
I also came across a post (https://www.indiatoday.in/trending-news/story/pakistani-singer-rabi-pirzada-who-threatened-modi-with-snakes-bitten-by-nude-video-leak-1614818-2019-11-01) which said that she said something wrong about IK, the Army and something about Neelam Munir’s new item song (seriously I did not like that song at all). Again, with the internet and media, I don’t believe that what is told is the absolute truth. All media is controlled by an extra-terrestrial entity and they project whatever they want. So the truth shown on media is a matter of perspective.
If what they say is true, that the army is behind this, I think it is time that army should revise its roles. Army serves the nation to protect the borders. Their place is the borders, not in the politics. Army has always ever been vigilant on our borders and I salute them. I think that Army has evolved a lot in last 15 years which is why we have third democratic government smoothly running in a row which has never happened. Finally we are ridden of martial law which has never let our institutions and democracy in general to grow and mature like our Indian neighbors.
In the past it is often seen that if the E.Ts want to ditch someone, they tend to leak photos to tarnish their repute. I don’t think this may be the case here but people will always come up with conspiracy theories. So spreading news on basis of involvement of E.Ts is not really sensible I guess.
The Nudity Movement While many famous and not so famous people have condemned this heinous act of video leakage, some women took the condemning and hashtags way too far.
This is way too far. It does say and I agree that there is really nothing to be ashamed of body but no way do we need to go out of decency and come out of our clothes. Why are you associating Nudes to Rabi’s name? Well more specifically why is she associating the chest-ular area with that hashtag?… This is so wrong. You cannot justify indecency by saying “it’s my life and I do whatever I want”
You do have the freedom to do things but remember that we live in an interdependent coexistent society. Whatever you do will have effect on others also and it will always have its consequences. With choice comes consequences so whatever choice you make, accept the consequences whether intended or unintended. So if you choose to walk naked in the street, be prepared and accept that you will be stared or hooted upon. In that case, you should not have problem being stared upon. If no one can tell you what to do, you can’t tell people what to do. This makes a conflict and leads to no end.
So the nude-fest is taking things way too far. It is way too extreme. I think as a part of civilized society, there is no need to explain why wearing clothes is important.
I saw another series of posts implying that we as a society are responsible for pressuring her to take her own life.
Well, society can be cruel I guess. It can be judgmental and unforgiving. It can make your life a living hell. Whenever you fall, this ruthless society keeps you to your knees until you let it. What do we do then if we fall? Why do we fall? Yeah you got it! So we can learn to pick ourselves up Master Bruce… I am a Batman fan… Christian Bale is the real Batman ok!
All I can say to Ms Pirzada is that I honestly can never understand what you are going through. I cannot relate to you in anyway at all and neither can all the keyboard warriors we have on the internet.
What I do really believe is that if you hold on through these tough times and make it through, you will come out much stronger. You still have people who love you. Be strong for them. Live for them. Live with them.

Just random rumors – The Islamic Point of View
I even came across some posts saying that video is a fake. Question is why anyone would want to discuss about the video in the first place. It should be deleted once received. So the first thing, we should not see the video. It is simply wrong. These same people would say that watching porn is wrong and “not allowed in Islam”. But ask them what about spreading gossips and rumors? They remain silent. So let us see what Islam tells us.
People who call themselves Muslims, please refer to these verses about spreading of rumours and gossip. Let me know what you think on this.
“Why do not the believing men and women, whenever such [a rumour] is heard, think the best of one another and say, “This is an obvious falsehood”? . . . When you take it up with your tongues, uttering with your mouths something of which you have no knowledge, you deem it a light matter. Whereas in the sight of God it is an awful thing!” (Qur’an 24: 12-15).
“Oh you who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest you harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what you have done (Qur’an 49:6).
“O you who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others; it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former). Nor let some women laugh at others; it may be that the (latter are better than the (former). Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames. Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed. And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong.
Oh you who believe! Avoid suspicion as much (as possible), for suspicion in some cases is a sin. And spy not on each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? No, you would abhor it…But fear Allah. For Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful” (Qur’an 49:11-12).
Secondly, if you have come across the video, why would you want to share it? You can choose to delete it. Why was this not done? The answer is desperate need of attention on the end of the “sharer”. It is the lack of purpose in life and lack of will and ability to do something good and productive in life!
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah does not like for you to waste wealth, nor ask many unnecessary questions, nor spread gossip.”
Moreover, fake videos and photoshopped images have always been a thing. So we always need to give benefit of doubt in this case. Why do we feel the need to directly draw conclusions based on scanty information? I read somewhere that believe none what you hear and half of what you see. In today’s world you can’t even believe what you see because there is always a half picture shown to us. The media can be manipulated and it is manipulated. That is why I believe that we should not indulge into gossips. It is the work of purposeless, insensitive and worthless people. Please don’t be part of any gossip circle; I repeat it again and again!
The Prophet Muhammad once asked his followers, “Do you know what backbiting is?” They said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He continued, “Saying something about your brother that he dislikes.” Someone then asked, “What if what I say about my brother is true?” The Prophet Muhammad responded: “If what you say is true then you have backbitten about him, and if it is not true, then you have slandered him.”
This literal definition of the word “backbiting” is something that we don’t often think about, but it is notable that the Qur’an regards it as distasteful as an actual act of cannibalism.
“Do not concern yourself with things about which you have no knowledge. Verily, your hearing, sight, and heart — all of them will be called to account” (Qur’an 17:36).
Nip the evil in the buttocks
It is people like you and I who decide to make evils of our society go viral without thinking how it can affect people. We can be so insensitive at times without knowing it and when same kind of thing happens to us, we question God “Why me?” and I think it should be “Why not me?” We are all the same. Just depends who is on which side of the gun? Please, if you ever come by such videos, get rid of them. Don’t share them. Nip the freaking evil in its buttocks (or is it bud?). Don’t let it spread. Making such things viral is like spreading a dangerous virus which can destroy the very essence of decency, moral fabric and overall humanity.
There we have this Gossip grinded for good.
This is your best friend Khan. Take care and see you next time soon.
